A Step by Step guide to make Heishi Fashion Jewellery

Welcome to our first ever step by step guide to making your very own Heishi beads.

You will need to invest in some tools, however, it may be well worth it. Or if it does go sour, Arcobaleno Beads has our very own collection to make you look stunning!

If you want to learn more about heishi jewellery, please check out our previous blog for detailed information and inspiration. Feel free to explore our blog for more insights and ideas on creating beautiful heishi jewellery pieces inspired by Arcobaleno beads.

Lets Go!

Gather Materials: Collect beads in various colours, beading wire, crimp beads, clasp, wire cutters, and jewellery pliers.

Measure and Cut Wire: Decide the length of your necklace or bracelet and cut the beading wire accordingly, adding a few extra inches for the clasp.

Thread Beads: Start threading the Beads onto the wire in the desired pattern. Make sure to alternate colours for a vibrant look. For some examples check out our Bohemian Necklace.

Creating your Heishi Beads: To make your heishi beads, space out the beads evenly along the wire. You can add small seed beads between each bead for a traditional heishi look. For some examples check out our Petite Seed Bracelet.

Secure Beads: Once all the beads are strung, add a crimp bead at each end of the wire. Use jewellery pliers to flatten the crimp beads to secure the beads in place.

Attach Clasp: Attach the clasp to each end of the wire using jump rings and pliers. Make sure it is securely fastened.

Finishing Touches: Trim any excess wire carefully using wire cutters. Check the entire piece for any sharp edges or loose beads.

Enjoy Your Heishi Jewellery: Your Arcobaleno heishi jewellery is now ready to wear or gift to someone special. Show off your unique and colourful creation!

Remember to have fun and be creative with your design!
